They also serve as a support for properly distributing the assets throughout the formula. Silicates They protect your clothes and your washing machine! They stabilize the pH, prevent corrosion of metal parts (such as heating elements) and limit the re-deposition of dirt on laundry. Sequestrators They soften the water to boost efficiency. They capture limestone and heavy metals in hard water. The result: a laundry detergent that foams better, cleans more effectively and protects the machine.
